We spent a week at this resort and it suited our needs perfectly. The unit is very tastefully decorated, the stone tile showers are luxurious, and the open concept kitchen/dining/living room make it feel very spacious- the pictures don’t do the unit justice – it is larger than it looks and fit our party of 2 adults, 2 seniors and an infant easily. As we were traveling with the whole family, we loved having 2 bathrooms, and even though we didn’t watch a lot of tv, having one in each room was great. This unit is definitely one of the best units in the development as it is close to the entrance, the back french doors open up onto a nice grassy area, and it is only steps away from the small pool. This was especially great for us for coming in and out of the unit with a stroller and over to the pool for a quick dip and then back to the room to play with the grandparents. Both pools are super nice and the grounds of this resort are well cared for. The Ainu Nalu is super central being just a block away from all the restaurants and shops and is a short walk to the beach. The beach in town isn’t the greatest swimming beach compared to other ones on the island, but it is good for watching the sunset and it is only just a short drive from the resort to the other beaches on the west side of Maui including Kaanapali, Kapalua and Napili.

Our only complaint would be that it is ridiculous that the resort charges such a high nightly rate for parking (it should be included in the price). But despite this, we will definitely return on our next visit to Maui!
